Hey Fan Man, how are you doing? Tough day, huh? You know what always cheers me up? Finding a nice relaxing spot and taking a deep breath. There's a lookout not far from here, why don't you try it out? And you! Help Fan Man climb up to the lookout to catch the sunset!
Fan Man is a new twist on the 3D platformer genre! Health bar? Nope! Lives who? Fan Man is indestructible! Watch out though, he can still fall! Trip up and you'll find yourself falling all the way to the previous level.
Don't let it get you too down though! Use the new abilities you unlock to find hidden shortcuts and collectibles on your way back up! Try to find all 3 coins in every level to help Fan Man reach his goal!
Made in 1 week for the Level 99 Jam by me, Spratley! (Not including work time, I swear I didn't cut work to make this)
The theme was Take a Deep Breath - Which Fan Man does throughout the game to charge up power for his abilities! His goal is just to relax and take a deep breath at the end of a stressful day.
Fan Man uses a password system to save your game, so if you want to quit and come back make sure to write down your password before closing the game!
This game is pretty hard, so if you're really stuck, here's a series of cheat passwords to skip ahead in the game!
Starting at different levels (And all the powerups to that point):

I just finished beating this 100%, without cheats or anything. It was fun, for its duration, but I think it could be a lot better if the horizontal movement was supplemented in some way. As is, it just feels really slow and clunky. Other than that, it was a nice half an hour diversion
Oh wow thank you so much, I didnt think anyone would actually complete it! I totally agree with the movement feeling off, I was really behind with my schedule for the jam I made this in and I had to cut a lot of my time for final pass changes and game feel to make it in on time :)
The movement is actually improved from where it started at if you can believe it! I wanted to make it faster, but the animation was for a much slower walk cycle and looked weird if I either sped it up to match how fast he walked or left it the same and had it desync the feet and movement speed. Since I'm no animator, I didn't want to have to re-do the walk a second time and I ended up just going with as high of a speed I could get it to go without looking strange!
