I just finished beating this 100%, without cheats or anything. It was fun, for its duration, but I think it could be a lot better if the horizontal movement was supplemented in some way. As is, it just feels really slow and clunky. Other than that, it was a nice half an hour diversion
Oh wow thank you so much, I didnt think anyone would actually complete it! I totally agree with the movement feeling off, I was really behind with my schedule for the jam I made this in and I had to cut a lot of my time for final pass changes and game feel to make it in on time :)
The movement is actually improved from where it started at if you can believe it! I wanted to make it faster, but the animation was for a much slower walk cycle and looked weird if I either sped it up to match how fast he walked or left it the same and had it desync the feet and movement speed. Since I'm no animator, I didn't want to have to re-do the walk a second time and I ended up just going with as high of a speed I could get it to go without looking strange!
